Why EDMC

Strategic and tactical impact -- if you're driven to make a difference, this role will provide multiple opportunities. You'll lead the strategy for your assigned education system and support the success of the other systems, manage projects and cross-functional teams, and make direct hands-on contributions.

Professional development -- the breadth of this role means that you will be able to expand your skills and experience in multiple areas. In addition, if you have the aptitude, you might take on a team lead role, helping promote cohesion and collaboration, and taking point on driving solutions that engage the entire team.

Transformation = opportunity -- EDMC completed capital restructuring in April 2015. Executing through unprecedented change, EDMC remains committed to providing students with an education that builds careers and transform lives. EDMC has plans to simplify operations, improve affordability and generate even better student outcomes. If you're the person we're looking for, you see the opportunities behind the challenges in this kind of environment.

Recognized leadership -- with more than 410,000 graduates (as of December 2014), we know we've got something special to offer. But don't just take our word for it! Here are some recent industry accolades:
  • In 2014 Animation Career Review released a list of top animation schools on the West Coast. Several EDMC schools were listed in the top 25: The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles, a campus of Argosy University; The Art Institute of California - San Francisco, a campus of Argosy University; The Art Institute of Portland; and The Art Institute of Seattle.
  • Also in 2014, The Art Institute of Vancouver was ranked in the top 10 schools to study game design by The Princeton Review, one of the nation's most well known education service companies.
Success through values -- Education Management Corporation (EDMC) is built on strong values: student success, integrity, innovation and excellence. We share a deep commitment to compliance and ethics, and to doing things right -- right by our students, regulatory bodies, and our own internal standards.

Excellent compensation -- in addition to a competitive salary and bonus incentive program, we offer comprehensive benefits. You'll find all the offerings you'd expect: comprehensive medical coverage, along with dental, life insurance and a retirement plan. But our benefits package also includes things you might not expect, like adoption and tuition assistance.

Pictured: EDMC schools offer associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in a variety of fields, including Healthcare. Other programs include Art, Design, Fashion, Culinary, Business, Behavioral Science, Legal, and Computer Technology.

Keys to Success

We're looking for a professional who approaches work with a game-changing attitude and a desire to make a true impact in the educational space. This is a critical position with a good deal of responsibility, and there will be challenges. You'll need high emotional intelligence as you collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. For example, your project management activities will be less about demanding deliverables and more about helping stakeholders overcome roadblocks. When the heat is on, you'll focus on driving a solution rather than finding someone to blame.

In your relationship with your assigned education system, you'll act like an account manager committed to exceeding customer expectations. This will include developing robust lines of communication, understanding the customers' goals and concerns, and providing regular touch points and status updates.

We're implementing an agile marketing approach, so if you're looking for a position in which you can drive "extreme makeovers," this may not be the role for you. You should be comfortable planning and executing smaller redesigns, with plenty of input from different parties.

Your role and the Student Experience and Innovation team will continue to evolve, so you'll need to be flexible and adaptable. In addition, we'll look to you to be self-directed and achieve individual goals independently, while also supporting the collaborative environment that is pivotal to our success.
